Match Report

It’s Just Like Watching Brazil.

Ben ‘Marvellous’ Mohsen scored a hat-trick in the final game of the League competition at Ruislip on Mothers’ Day, Sunday 6th March.

Two 3-2  victories against Hounslow Strikers and Peoples 1st , a hard fought 3-3 draw with DASH Rovers and just a single defeat to DASH Amblers made this one of the finest set of performances for the Bees League team.

Nathan ‘chatty man’ Hammond pulled the strings in midfield and scored 4 times, mesmerising the opposition with his almost Messi-like skill.

David Gardner, switched to defence, had a brilliant day, his non-stop running, harrying and hustling,  forcing the opposition back time and time again.

Sam ‘The Cat’ Holloway did not have a lot to do given the sterling performance of the players in front of him but what he did do was done with his usual athleticism, swagger and aplomb. One incredible dive to his left almost save a penalty.

Ben scored the decisive goal in the first game against Hounslow Strikers and, at times, seemed to lull the opposition into a false sense of security with his apparent disinterest before striking cobra-like with the clinical finishing reminiscent of Suarez or Vardy.

Man of the Match, though, was awarded to Yama who formed an impregnable back line with David and threw himself (literally) into challenges in defending his goal.

A brilliant team performance and one which would have made their mothers proud.
